Retirement at Carmel Country Estate
Today, the village comprises 142 units spread over 16 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds bordered by a greenbelt that provides peace and quiet even though it is only 10 minutes
from downtown Tauranga. The spacious units have a northerly aspect, are brick and tile and come in several different designs.
As expected in high quality homes, there are many features in the units which will be appreciated on viewing.
The village includes a magnificent community centre where outdoor bowls and other social activities take place. This facility accommodates a dining area, library and computer room, hair salon with visiting hairdresser, craft room, billiards room, gymnasium and workshop.
The conservatory in the community centre overlooks an astroturf bowling green and croquet green with a petanque court nearby. Staff, including a cleaner who is available for residents, all have First Aid qualifications and with the caregivers this ensures
24/7 response to the Carecall system installed in all units.
Also available are a podiatrist, registered nurse and visiting doctor in the private on-site surgery.
Carmel’s two courtesy vans are utilised for shopping trips and many other outings for the residents.
Says Jason, when asked why he feels that Carmel has achieved its current enviable status; “by far our biggest achievement is the satisfaction and contentment of our residents, who really are the greatest advertisement for what we have achieved and the greatest reward for our dedication
and commitment.” Show homes at Carmel Country Estate are open daily from 10am to 4pm. Appointments outside these times are available by arrangement.
